Job Description
A floor supervisor oversees daily floor operations, directs staff, maintains merchandise or workflow standards, resolves customer or employee issues, and ensures compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Retail / Hospitality
- Assign and direct tasks for floor staff.
- Monitor merchandise presentation, inventory levels, and restocking.
- Provide on‑the‑spot coaching and performance feedback.
- Handle first‑level customer issues and escalated complaints.
- Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash handling
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies.
Manufacturing / Production
- Supervise production workers (machine operators, assemblers, inspectors).
- Review production schedules and make staffing or workflow decisions.
- Monitor productivity data and correct operational issues.
- Enforce health and safety regulations and train employees.
- Maintain inventory and order materials as needed
Requirements
Knowledge of safety standards and School policies
Ability to manage workflow, multitask, and meet deadlines
Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
