Job Description

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30pm, Saturday and/or Sunday may be required.

Starting Pay $18.80/hr

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position fills in different areas of operation when absences, vacations, etc. occur. Must be willing to learn various positions.

Essential Functions of the floater include but are not limited to:

Loading finished meal trailers and tankers. Performing inventory duties such as measuring silos and tanks. Performing preventative maintenance in work area. Keeping area clean. Sampling and testing of finished products. Assisting with QA silo and tanks cleaning schedules. Following instructions from supervision. Comply with plant safety policies. This position will also be required to fill in the yard driver position due to absences, drivers license required.

Muscular / Skeletal Requirements

Capable of carrying equipment, operating machinery in excess of 40 pounds. Must be able to climb silos and oil tanks for inventory duties. Must be able to communicate and get along with others. Must be able to tolerate climate changes from very cold to very hot. Must be able to reach, lift, and work overhead.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud

Requirements:
Must have 6 months of continuous work history with single employer in the past 12 months.

Rehire Criteria:

· Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.

· Also, if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
