The Floor Equipment Operator ensures clean, safe, and well-maintained facilities under government contracts by operating floor care equipment, maintaining standards, and supporting Didlake’s mission through quality work and teamwork.

What You Will Do

  • Operate floor machines (scrubbers, burnishers, polishers) safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and maintain floors and common areas include corridors, restrooms, stairways, lobbies, and other assigned spaces.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment per SOPs.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, polish floors, clean restrooms, empty trash, replenish supplies, and polish fixtures.
  • Follow all safety standards, company policies, and contract requirements.
  • Report maintenance issues or equipment damage to the supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and maintain professional conduct.
  • Complete required Didlake training and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You Bring

You bring experience operating floor care equipment and performing custodial duties while following safety standards, procedures, and contract requirements. You are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to complete quality work while maintaining clean and well-maintained facilities.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience operating floor care machines.

Skills & Abilities

  • A valid REAL ID is required to access this worksite
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment and cleaning products, including knowledge of the different types of floor machines, safe operation, care, and upkeep.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Possess the ability to pass a background check and hold a security clearance.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and attention to safety.
