Job Title: Floor Care Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-Time / Hourly

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking an experienced Floor Care Supervisor to lead custodial operations across multiple locations while supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, customers, and partners. This hands-on leadership role is essential in supervising custodial teams, overseeing cleaning and floor care services, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards The ideal candidate brings strong supervisory skills, technical knowledge of custodial and floor care practices, and the flexibility to perform cleaning duties as needed while advancing Goodwill's mission of creating opportunities and strengthening the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support custodial and floor care teams across assigned locations, ensuring consistent quality, productivity, and customer service
  • Coordinate staffing schedules, manage timekeeping records, and remain available for oncall coverage to address operational needs or issues
  • Perform hands-on custodial and floor care duties as needed, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools
  • Oversee equipment care, prepare and manage cleaning chemicals, and order custodial supplies while tracking usage and inventory
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards by training staff on safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (or yearforyear experience substitution) and a valid Florida driver's license
  • Minimum of three (3) years of custodial and/or floor care experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory role
  • Proven supervisory skills, including scheduling staff, managing timekeeping, and overseeing custodial crews across multiple locations
  • Strong working knowledge of custodial and floor care practices, including chemical preparation and use, equipment operation and maintenance, and inventory control for supplies and equipment
  • Ability to train and enforce safe work practices, including OSHA regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Willingness and ability to perform handson custodial and cleaning duties as needed
  • Physical ability to perform heavy labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing heavy cleaning equipment
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and oncall shifts as required
  • Strong customer service skills when interacting with stores, administrative teams, vendors, and donors
