Floater Teacher (Lead Qualified) – $16–$18/hr | Full-Time Location: The Learning Experience – Newark, DE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time
Pay: $17–$20 per hour

About the Role

The Learning Experience – Newark, DE is seeking a Lead-Qualified Floater Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role supports multiple classrooms (Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool) and is ideal for a flexible, skilled educator who enjoys variety and making an impact across the entire school.

Our program focuses on early academics, social-emotional growth, and hands-on learning in a joyful, structured environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Step into different classrooms (Infant, Toddler, Preschool) as needed

  • Lead and support classrooms in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate way

  • Implement The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum across age groups

  • Support early literacy, math, social skills, creativity, and problem-solving

  • Maintain strong communication with families and team members

  • Ensure compliance with Delaware licensing and center policies

  • Support daily routines including transitions, meals, rest time, and activities

  • Partner with leadership and teaching teams to maintain high-quality programming

Qualifications (Lead Qualified Required)

  • TECE 1 & TECE 2 required (Delaware Early Care & Education)

  • High school diploma or GED required; CDA or ECE coursework strongly preferred

  • At least 6 months of classroom experience (1+ year preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)

  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
