
Flightline Operations Managers - Airplane on Ground

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for First-Line Flightline Operations Managers (Level K) to support the Aircraft On Ground (AOG) Team onsite in Everett, Washington
Position Responsibilities:
Ensures aircraft repairs, warranty support and tech assists are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and post-flight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery and return to service
Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet program requirements and ensure customer acceptance
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
Current holder of an FAA A&P License or the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman's certificate
3+ years of experience in aircraft delivery, maintenance repair, and/or Aircraft on Ground (AOG)
3+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance regulatory requirements
Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally 50% - with short notice and for potentially extended periods of time (must obtain and possess current U.S. passport)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience or training in reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
3+ years of experience in a customer facing role engaging with internal and/or external customers
3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and / or informal leadership role
Experience leading or managing in a union represented environment (IAM and/or SPEEA)
Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role with strict deadlines
Shift:
This role is primarily 1st shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.
