Job Description

The Intermountain Health Global Air Ambulance Coordinator manages the end-to-end coordination of domestic and international critical care medical transport missions. Maintain regulatory compliance, documentation, and real-time updates while delivering excellent customer service in high-pressure, high-stakes transport. This role works directly with industry partners, hospitals, pilots, aviation administration, system administration and medical flight crews to deliver safe, regulatory compliance, and exceptional transport coordination. The coordinator owns each mission from initial intake and quoting through execution and follow-up, ensuring seamless communication, operational accuracy, and an exceptional safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3)+ years of experience in aviation or healthcare operations, charter coordination, dispatch, or operational control
  • Working knowledge of aviation processes and terminology
  • Strong communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with standard computer systems and ability to learn internal platforms
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in private aviation charter coordination or air ambulance operations
  • International trip planning experience (permits, customs, and global logistics)
  • Knowledge of healthcare or medical transport workflows
  • Understanding of aviation or healthcare processes

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or work at a workstation for extended periods while monitoring multiple communication channels
  • Ongoing needs for employee to see, read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and suppliers, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent communication via phone, email, and messaging platforms
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze detailed operational and logistical information
  • Capability to respond quickly and effectively in a time-sensitive, high-demand environment

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$29.77 - $45.34
