We are seeking a Flexographic Press Parts Management & Service Technician for our First Quality P&P located in Anderson, SC This role combines parts management with hands-on maintenance of flexographic press components to ensure maximum uptime, precision, and longevity of the equipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and preventive maintenance tasks on critical flexo press parts, following SOPs.
  • Track part usage, service history, and remaining life cycle in the CMMS or ERP system.
  • Ensure all parts are properly cleaned, protected, and labeled before storage or installation.
  • Accurately document all maintenance performed, inspection results, measurements before/after service, and part condition history.
  • Update equipment BOMs and maintenance records.
  • Organize and maintain a clean, part storage area using 5S principles.
  • Implement proper handling and storage procedures to prevent damage to sensitive components
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of machine parts and related equipment.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule internal and external parts service & Inspection.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of scheduled tasks.
  • Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, inspection results, and roll usage history.
  • Document and report any quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Follow Kanban inventory management practices to ensure timely replenishment of parts, supplies, and consumables.
  • Assist in troubleshooting print quality issues related to anilox rolls, blade chambers, dryer boxes, or other press components.
  • Collaborate with press operators and maintenance staff to optimize equipment performance.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience performing routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Technical Training or certification is a plus.
  • Experience in printing or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Demonstrates mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Work in an environment with the potential for exposure to ink, dust, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and maintenance procedures.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, crouching throughout shift.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
  • Occasional climbing and reaching.
  • Able to work in dusty, wet, hot environments on occasion.
  • Work in hot and cold as well as wet and humid areas.
  • Occasional climbing of steps / ladders.
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 50lbs safely
