Job Description

UFP Packaging – Corrugated Division, Las Vegas, NV is a leading provider of corrugated packaging solutions across North America. Our newest flagship facility features advanced automation and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology designed to deliver exceptional quality, safety, and service.

We are seeking experienced and reliable Machine Operators to run our Flexographic press as part of a high-performance production team. Ideal candidates have prior experience in corrugated packaging or high-speed printing machinery, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Printing press experience is highly desired.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Full knowledge of completing press set-up and changeover.
  • Capable of running 4-color process jobs without assistance.
  • Mix Pantone ink colors.
  • Ensure quality in the items they produce.
  • Perform weekly periodic maintenance of all equipment used in Production and maintain PM log.
  • Notify the Production Supervisor of any problems or questions with equipment.
  • Train and support the First Helper and other team members.
  • Be agile, moving to where the work is if necessary and as directed by the Production Supervisor.
  • Keep production area clean, neat, and organized.
  • Work with pre-production individuals as a team, and with respect.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage time.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience operating Flexo Folder Gluers or other printing and converting equipment in the corrugated or printing industry (LMC or APSTAR).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety practices.
  • Familiarity with print registration, die-cutting, and box styles.
  • Ability to read work orders, safety instructions, and machine manuals
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Minimum age: 18
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Ability to read a tape measure; basic math proficiency.

Pay Range:

$23.00-$27.00/Hr. Dependent on experience.

Bonus/Incentive Pay:

For hourly positions with incentive pay Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates,. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
