About the Role
As a Flexible Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children with disabilities through engaging social and recreational programs. Your contributions will help create inclusive environments that foster personal growth, safety, and community connection.
In this role, you will provide both in-home and community-based support, facilitate engaging group activities through the Interchange program to enhance participation and inclusion, and transport clients safely while ensuring a fun and supportive experience. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with families, allied health professionals, and program staff to create tailored support plans that foster personal growth, safety, and a sense of community.
About You
To be eligible for this role a Certificate III in Disability or Human Services, or and equivalent proven experience in a related field is required.
You will be a person who demonstrates effective communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse individuals while showcasing cultural sensitivity. Proficiency in managing client data, documentation, and compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) and risk management requirements is also required. Additionally, a dedication to promoting health and safety for oneself and others in the workplace is crucial.
