Aka Recruitment are proud to be working with a family-run business based in Cleckheaton, who are looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking Flexi & Bendi FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative to join their established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse operative who holds the relevant FLT experience and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day warehouse operations, maintaining accurate stock movements and helping to deliver an efficient service. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm with no weekends involved, hourly rate is dependent on the relevant qualifications/licences but starts at £14 per hour

Job Duties Include

• Operating Flexi and Bendi FLT trucks safely and efficiently within the warehouse
• Loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring goods are handled with care
• Moving and positioning stock within the warehouse and storage areas
• Picking, packing and preparing orders ready for dispatch
• Checking incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy and any damage
• Assisting with stock control and maintaining accurate inventory records
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
• Supporting colleagues with general warehouse duties as required
• Helping to ensure orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time

Requirements

• Previous experience operating Flexi and/or Bendi FLT trucks is essential
• A valid and relevant FLT licence is desirable
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience
• Good attention to detail when handling stock and processing orders
• A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good awareness of warehouse Health & Safety procedures
• A flexible approach to supporting the wider warehouse operation
