Flex Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Denver, CO (Multiple sites depending on District Managers area)

Wage: $23.00/HR

This officer will need to be available 6AM – 11PM OR 2PM – 6AM (schedules are provided a week in advance and will be stationed at multiple locations).

What You Can Expect:

• Patrol assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, and unauthorized persons.

• Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.

• Utilize rapid and effective judgment in responding to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level.

• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Flex Officer Objectives:

• Staff new accounts until permanent Security Officers can be hired.
• Provide security for short-term special security assignments.
• Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, suspensions, holidays, etc.
• Assist in start-ups at new accounts including working the site, writing post orders / training checklists, and training newly assigned permanent Security Officers.
• Expect to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice and work during “high need” periods.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.

• Above average computer / technology skills needed.

• Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.

• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.

• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

• CPR, AED, and First aid certifications are a plus but are not needed for every site.

• With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly.

• Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.

• Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.

• Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
