Sets up and runs Aqua Flex Printing Press by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for setting up press, getting color, position and maintaining same during production.
Check print mats for accuracy.
Calculate amount of foil required for each production run.
Order foil.
Determines press speeds and maintains expected production levels.
Monitors maintenance needs and determines scheduling needs for same.
Perform maintenance on the printer as well as order parts as needed, works with outside contractors to keep printer at peak performance level.
Grease, oil, clean and adjust press per manufacturer’s recommendation or at least once a week.
Direct responsibility for quality and production.
Completes all necessary and pertinent paperwork and labor reporting in QAD.
Use tools to remove and replace components of the machine.
Stage foil.
Operate pallet jack.
Clear jammed foil from press.
Observe machine operation to detect malfunction and make adjustments to press as necessary.
Visually inspect for defects in foil and print quality, making adjustments to press as necessary.
Responsible for participating in internal, customer and regulatory audits at the discretion of senior management.
Perform QAD entries as it pertains to foil coming into the print room, and issues it to the Work Order and transfers the finished component back to inventory.
Create the labels and label the finished component with the proper label.

PREFERRED / REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute ratio, rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
