JOB SUMMARY

The FLEX Director, Digital & Technology Transformation Run of Show (CALA) leads regional coordination and oversight for The Power of M deployment readiness, cutover execution, and command center activities across Central America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The role serves as the primary CALA lead for run-of-show execution, providing leadership during deployment events, maintaining visibility into readiness and execution status, facilitating issue resolution, and representing CALA in global governance forums. This position partners across continents, global, deployment, technology, support, and property teams to keep activities on schedule, proactively manage risk, and support stable deployment outcomes in a 24x7 Command Center environment.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Information Technology, or related major.
  • 8+ years of experience in deployment management, operations, business transformation, program management, hospitality technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex, fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management, organizational, communication, and execution skills, including the ability to manage escalations, drive issue resolution, make decisions under pressure, and deliver executive-level reporting.

Preferred

  • Experience with Marriott systems, hotel operations, or large-scale hospitality technology deployments.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, Power BI, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Microsoft 365 applications, or similar deployment management and reporting tools.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus, with experience working across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones within CALA.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Partners with the CALA Sr. Director, Command Center, deployment teams, and property stakeholders to identify risks, monitor readiness, and escalate overdue or at-risk activities.
  • Leads and oversees CALA Command Center activities during deployment and stabilization events, supporting continuous operations across a 24x7 coverage model.
  • Ensures CALA properties complete critical Land-It and deployment readiness activities in accordance with established timelines.
  • Maintains continuous oversight of regional task completion and deployment readiness across all CALA deployment waves.
  • Monitors deployment dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools to identify critical-path risks, dependencies, and execution gaps.
  • Coordinates with the Global Command Center on run-of-show tracking, Hot Topics, issue management, and deployment governance.
  • Presents CALA deployment status, risks, mitigation plans, and readiness updates during global run-of-show meetings.
  • Leads resolution efforts for high-priority issues and drives timely decision-making and stakeholder communication during deployment events.
  • Partners with Global Technology, Deployment Support, Service Desk, and operational support teams to accelerate issue resolution.
  • Provides executive-level reporting and visibility into deployment health, issue trends, readiness metrics, and regional risks.
  • Captures lessons learned and supports continuous improvement of command center processes, run-of-show governance, and deployment playbooks.
  • Coordinates seamless shift transitions, issue escalation, and ongoing visibility into deployment health, risks, and critical incidents with Global Command Center teams.
  • Supports command center coverage during critical deployment windows, including after-hours support as required.
