Our Gloucestershire depot is looking for a new Fleet Workshop Manager who will come in and provide direction and leadership to our dedicated team of technicians and apprentices, as they deliver maintenance and reactive repairs to our extensive fleet across the South West region.

In this high-profile role, we’ll look for you to bring an energy and enthusiasm to the workshop, managing the performance across financial, technician and service delivery targets, ensuring your customers’ needs and expectations are met or exceeded. Ensuring parts and spares spend for the workshop will be considered part of your day to day, while always considering the best value proposition across all the work the team does.

key accountabilities in the role include:-

  • Responsible for the operational management and financial performance of your own workshop and customer interactions and relationships.
  • Ensuring your workshop teams are prepared, competent and compliant and have what they need to deliver their day to roles from a vehicle maintenance perspective.
  • Keeping your customers regularly updated, engaged and informed. Supply feedback to the wider fleet team on vehicle downtime and vehicle concerns through the vehicle replacement plan.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

To succeed in this role we’ll be looking for you to have demonstratable knowledge and experience in the commercial vehicle / HGV sector, with it being highly desirable if you have experience of working hands on with HGV’s, while also being adept at working in an operational vehicle maintenance environment.

As you will be managing a team of 6 to 8 technicians, being able to show you have managed and lead workshop teams will be key.
