Roles and Responsibilities

The Gas Turbine NPI Controls Development Product Owner leads a team responsible for requirements management, design, development, simulation verification, field validation, and documentation related to advanced gas turbine controls system product and feature development in support of the Gas Power Business.

The Gas Turbine NPI Controls Development Product Owner will be challenged to work with Gas Turbine Systems Engineering and the component Gas Turbine Engineering teams to prioritize, define, and deliver controls products and features as part of standard software library releases to be used by the Controls Requisition team to fulfill on advanced gas turbine projects.

In addition, the Gas Turbine NPI Controls Development Product Owner will:

  • Collaborate with Gas Turbine Systems and design engineers of various disciplines to understand and drive gas turbine control system and accessories equipment requirements
  • Collaborate with and maintain close, responsive, and productive working relationships with the Controls standards and requisition teams to ensure the Agile team is delivering on project needs
  • Work with RTE to plan Agile scrum team quarterly PI Milestone and Feature commitments
  • Work with Agile scrum team members to plan and prioritize Sprint development to meet PI commitments
  • Own the Delivery Dashboard (CLM Late Milestones, Unresolved Work Items, Sprint Velocity) for the Agile team
  • Drive Agile scrum team ownership to incorporate lessons learned from validation and field experience into software standards
  • Be a Technical Mentor to the Agile scrum team members
  • Provide clear communication of development status to the team and business leaders

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, or Computer)
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in engineering

Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% for controls field validation and customer meetings, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as required

Desired Characteristics

  • MS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, or Computer)
  • 5+ years of GE Vernova power generation controls, electrical, or accessory system design experience with demonstrated knowledge of GE ToolboxST application code programming with Mark* VIe controllers
  • 3+ years Controls experience (GT Controls preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading a diverse, cross-functional, global team
  • Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework Scrum team
  • Enthusiastic self-starter who leads by example, sets stretch goals and is committed to team building

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
