Fleet Technician B – SGC Foodservice

Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 PM – until work is completed

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Technician B to join our team. This role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of fleet vehicles, including tractors, trucks, trailers, and refrigerated units. You’ll apply your technical expertise to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve our customers.

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair trucks, tractors, trailers, and reefer units.
• Rebuild and repair key components (diesel engines, transmissions, axles, etc.).
• Conduct on-site and emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform test drives to verify repairs.
• Wash, fuel, and service vehicles as needed.
• Maintain tools, shop equipment, and a clean, safe work area.
• Complete basic facility and equipment repairs.
• Provide your own tools and lockable toolbox.
• Work overtime as required.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Class A CDL preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Must meet DOT medical requirements.
• Familiarity with EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read and follow technical service manuals.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software for heavy-duty equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Frequent lifting (25–50 lbs.), bending, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
• Good vision, hearing, and steady hand coordination.
• Ability to work in noisy, varying temperature environments with exposure to hazardous materials.
• Strong focus on safety in all tasks.
