Compliance commitments

Operational Support

  • To ensure compliance where appropriate with the Company's procedures and policies in compliance with ISO 45001:2018, 14001:2015, 9001:2015, ISM & MLC & ISPS, International industry & local legal requirements.
  • Strictly follow company SMS & BMS Requirements
  • Support assigned vessels to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure accurate recording and regular follow up on clients concerns and findings relevant to team vessels.
  • Support vessel with Quality uploading of PSC, external audit findings to NSE and challenge any overdue on regular basis (min monthly).
  • Ensure all class and statutory due dates are relayed to the assigned vessels and office staff directly involved.
  • Support assigned vessels with implementation of SVP (Self-Verification Program).
  • Support assigned vessels with timely close out of NCIORs and findings.
  • Monitor business ethics and ensure all deviations reported to management.
  • Actively participate and support company HSE programs, such as SOC, reporting of hazardous acts and conditions.
  • Ensure that vessels carry the required publications, procedures, operational manuals, and other documentation required by Flag State and other regulatory bodies, and that these are updated as required.
  • Maintain confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • To support any other duties, as per management request.
  • Acting as focal point for all assigned vessels communications.
  • Support the preparation of assigned vessels for client inspections and on-hire acceptance, including conducting internal pre-inspections, monitoring the closure of stop items and punch list findings, and ensuring all required documentation is available and up to date.
  • Assist with monitoring of current operational performance of your assigned vessels and assist as required by MCV Operations Manager for any areas of improvement.
  • Ensure that the Management of Change (MOC) procedure is applied to any modifications, change of equipment, or alteration affecting assigned vessels, including timely review and update of certificates, manuals and Class/Flag documentation.
  • Ensure daily status update is sent to MCV Operations Manager, Fleet and Technical Superintendents.
  • Participate in Daily Operations meetings and coordinate with the MCV Operations Manager on all matters affecting vessel availability, commercial commitments and client requirements.
  • Ensuring all vendor services are provided as per instructions from Operations and Technical departments.
  • Ensure assigned vessels are prepared for Class and Flag State inspections, that all statutory certificates and surveys are valid, and that any findings are addressed and closed within required timeframes.
  • Ensure any required updates for your assigned vessels are updated to SharePoint.
  • Maintain database of all vessels in company shared drives as required.
  • Arrange the regular statutory inspection of lifting appliances and loose lifting gear, in line with Flag State and Class requirements, and ensure that any defects or additional work scopes are communicated and actioned as confirmed
  • Monitor Fuel Track for your assigned vessels to report any abnormalities. Monitor fuel ROB & Fuel Track system for failure or errors in performance.
  • Ensure that relevant FW and Oil samples are collected for your assigned vessels, and that the reports provided to the Fleet and Technical superintendents for their review in a timely manner.
  • Ensure vessels LSA maintained in line to company & manufacturers recommendations.
  • Maintain a tracker of agency and disbursement orders for assigned vessels, monitor the status of PRs, POs, GRNs and invoices, and ensure that Statement of Accounts (SOA) from key agents are received, reconciled and closed out in a timelay manner.
  • Monitor all open defects on assigned vessels and assist with rectification and reporting.
  • Ensure that any defects, certification issues, or other PSC detainable conditions reported and escalated to higher management as matter of priority.
  • Ensure timely provision of catering and other support services.
  • Ensure management of assigned vessels on/off hire reporting.
  • Support Docking/Ship repair activities of your assigned vessels as required.
  • Liaise with Warehouse and LRS as required for your assigned vessels.
  • Continuously monitor and proactively suggest any opportunities that may improve efficiency in company operations.
  • Provide support to any other business, as required by management

SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications and experience Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional Qualification
  • Master COC
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in supervision of large fleet

Job-Specific Skills:

  • MPP and Heavy Lift (MCV) Vessel Management
  • Marine Operating Standards and Requirements
  • Management Accounting & Cost Control
  • Professional certifications in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management is desirable
  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks, industry compliance standards, and global safety/environmental practices (e.g., ISM Code, IMO conventions, ISO standards).
  • Prior exposure to working in emerging markets, joint ventures, or complex international environments is highly desirable.
