40Working under the direction of the Fleet Manager, the Fleet Mechanic provides general maintenance and repair of all hospital vehicles including passenger cars, trucks, ambulances, refrigeration trucks, utility vehicles, snow plows, salt spreaders, and other equipment. The Fleet Mechanic is required to understand all aspects of automotive and light truck systems including (but not limited to) fuel, brake, electrical, HVAC, suspension, gasoline/diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrain, and hydraulic systems. The Fleet Mechanic is also responsible for general shop maintenance, deep cleaning, deliveries, and other duties as needed.
This position will maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to insure by the hospital’s insurance carrier.
Education:
HSD/GED is required
** ASE Master Certification Preferred**

Will sometimes require working outside of normal shift hours.
