Job Description

Automotive Fleet Mechanic $5000 SIGN ON BONUS

On Time Ambulance seeks full-time automotive technicians to diagnose and repair company fleet vehicles as well as customer vehicles. Vehicles requiring repair include ambulances, vans and other vehicles. Technicians interact with customers and deliver superior service to internal and external customers.

Job Duties:

  1. Perform multi-point inspection and diagnosis of vehicles.
  2. Efficiently repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc., in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  3. Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  4. Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to customers.
  5. Provide labor and time estimates for initial and additional automotive repairs.
  6. Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs.
  7. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  8. Adhere to company regulations and keep abreast of recalls and updates.
  9. Technically capable, ensuring proficient use of service equipment including, PC etc., maintaining certification status.

  • 10 Hour Shift, 12 Hour Shift, 8 Hour Shift, Day shift, Holidays, Monday to Friday, Night Shift, Overtime, Weekends

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a certified technician
  • Must have own tools
  • ASE Certifications: Brakes & Steering and Suspension
  • Minimum of 2 of the following ASE Certifications: A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
  • Working knowledge of Diesel Ford Vehicles
