Fleet Manager

Location: Warner Robins Air Force Base, Georgia

Type: Non Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-Time, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Compensation: $33.30 - $33.30 p/hour

Tessera is seeking a Motivated and Hardworking Fleet Manager with a Positive/Professional attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between fleet users, government customers, maintenance providers, and contract leadership regarding fleet support activities.

  • Maintain accountability and documentation for all assigned government vehicles and equipment.

  • Track fleet performance metrics and support contractual performance objectives related to vehicle readiness and availability

  • Coordinate preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

  • Conduct or coordinate vehicle inspections to identify maintenance issues, safety concerns, and service requirements

  • Ensure 100% compliance with scheduled preventive maintenance requirements whenever operationally feasible.

  • Monitor fleet readiness and coordinate corrective actions to minimize vehicle downtime and support mission requirements

  • Ensure vehicle assignments, utilization records, and fleet inventories remain accurate and audit-ready.

  • Ensure fleet operations comply with applicable GSA, Air Force, federal, state, and company requirements.

  • Support customer mission requirements by ensuring safe, reliable, and available transportation assets

  • Coordinate renewal and compliance activities associated with driver eligibility

  • Coordinate vehicle accident reporting, damage assessments, and required documentation

  • Maintain driver qualification records and track required licenses, certifications, and authorizations.

  • Prepare recurring fleet status reports and provide recommendations for operational improvements

  • Keep accurate GSA logs.

  • Keep accurate trip logs.

  • Assist with vehicle acquisition, replacement, transfer, and disposal activities in accordance with government requirements

  • Support customer and government audits relating to vehicle accountability.

  • Maintain preventive maintenance and repair records.

  • Monitor vehicle utilization and availability to ensure efficient use of fleet resources

  • Identify underutilized assets and recommend reassignment or disposition actions

  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.

  • Manage GSA vehicles including scheduling for delivery, maintenance, and return. Assist movements when needed. Ensure assigned to appropriate command.

  • All Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • 0 – 3 years of previous experience preferred.

  • Combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Fleet management training.

  • ASE familiarity preferred.

  • OSHA.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
