The Account Executive is responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery to presenting, closing, and onboarding new fleet clients. Through ongoing face-to-face interactions, active listening, industry expertise, and analysis, AEs are responsible for delivering a proactive fleet management solution that highlights the financial and operational value of partnering with Enterprise Fleet Management.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting and Pipeline Development

  • Identify and qualify B2B and government leads through research, referrals, cold outreach, email campaigns, and networking.
  • Maintain a consistent meeting schedule with key decision‑makers, including fact‑finding meetings, presentations, and proposal reviews.
  • Successfully close quality accounts and effectively execute onboarding activities that deliver on the value proposition presented.

Consultative Sales and Strategy

  • Learn each prospect’s business, including financials, fleet needs, industry trends, and long‑term goals.
  • Create customized fleet management recommendations that demonstrate financial, operational, and strategic value.

Closing and Onboarding

  • Present solutions, negotiate agreements, and close new accounts.
  • Lead the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition and strong client experience.

Long‑Term Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with key contacts to secure referrals and future business.
  • Stay current with industry trends and actively participate in local associations and professional networks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is required for this position
  • Must reside in the Denver, CO metropolitan area
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful B2B or outside sales experience
  • Experience selling to the C‑suite preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years
  • No DUI/DWI or other drug/alcohol-related driving convictions within the last five (5) years
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
