Job Description

Reiter Dairy, a Dairy Farmers of America company, is seeking two Fleet Maintenance Mechanics to join our team!

Company paid Class A CDL Training upon successful completion of probationary period!


In this hands-on role, you’ll keep our fleet running safely and efficiently by performing routine maintenance, preventive services, and repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles. You’ll diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using modern diagnostic tools, troubleshoot root causes, and ensure all work meets DOT and company standards. OUR MECHANICS MAKE:

  • $33.28/hour
  • 2nd Shift M-F, 4p- 12:30a; Or 3rd Shift M-F, 12a- 8:30a

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience preferred with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment
  • Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Refrigeration license preferred
  • Mechanic Certifications preferred. Candidate must possess ability to obtain Class A CDL upon successful completion of probationary period.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, reach, crawl required for virtually the entire shift
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is required. Manipulation of tools, equipment and truck component is required
  • Must be computer literate, and have experience with engine, ABS, transmission, etc. diagnostic equipment and software
  • Must be able to work in a dusty, greasy environment with moderate to high noise volume
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
  • Be able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal)
