CHS has an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator within our Fleet Services team. This role provides centralized coordination of emergency and scheduled fleet maintenance for remote and isolated trucks and trailers and a centralized point of contact for fleet maintenance needs. This role triages incoming calls, dispatches approved vendors, monitors repair progress, validates completed work, and documents service outcomes. The position supports the Fleet Maintenance Vendor Manager function by helping enforce vendor standards, service expectations, cost control, and compliance across CHS fleet operations
Receive and triage inbound maintenance calls related to breakdowns, safety events, and disabled trucks or trailers
Dispatch emergency and scheduled repairs through preapproved national account vendors
Coordinate preventative maintenance for trucks and trailers in remote or limited-service areas
Maintain communication with drivers, operations, vendors, and Fleet Services teams until equipment is returned to service or properly staged
Escalate safety-critical, high-risk, extended downtime, or out-of-policy situations according to established protocols
Validate repair scope, labor, parts, and service reasonableness before billing follow-up
Identify repeat repair trends, vendor performance concerns, or service quality issues and share feedback with Fleet Services leadership
Document calls, approvals, dispatch actions, vendor updates, and outcomes in designated systems to support billing validation, reporting, and audit readiness
1+ years of experience in call center operations, fleet maintenance coordination, transportation support, or service dispatch
High School diploma or GED preferred
Ability to handle high-volume inbound calls and prioritize urgent requests
Working knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance concepts, roadside breakdown response, and common repair terminology.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm, clear, and professional during high‑ stress situations.
Ability to triage issues, assess safety and urgency, and make sound real‑ time decisions within defined procedures.
High level of organizational skill, ability to multi task, and attention to detail to accurately document service events and approvals.
Proficiency using call center systems, dispatch tools, and basic computer applications (CRM, work order systems, spreadsheets).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
