Fleet Field Director – Beverage Operating Unit

The ideal candidate will be based out of our Frisco, TX office.

The Fleet Field Director – Beverage Operating Unit is responsible for leading Fleet Field Operations across the Keurig Dr Pepper Beverage Operating Unit, driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet performance across approximately 18,000 assets, 50 maintenance shops, 9 Regions, and 3 Business Units.

This role serves as the senior operational Fleet leader for the Beverage Operating Unit, ensuring consistent execution, operational excellence, and financial performance across the enterprise Fleet network.

Leading a team of Regional Fleet Managers and Field Fleet teams, this role partners closely with the Fleet Center of Excellence (COE), Finance, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and corporate partners to execute enterprise fleet strategy, drive continuous improvement, optimize productivity, and prepare the organization for the future Fleet Operating Model.

Responsibilities

Fleet Operations Leadership

  • Lead Fleet Field Operations across 18,000 assets, 50 maintenance shops, 9 Regions, and 3 Business Units.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Regional Fleet Managers and Field Fleet teams while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive standardized fleet execution, governance, and operational consistency across all Business Units.
  • Deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet operations while partnering with Operations and Sales to ensure best-in-class customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and all applicable DOT, EPA, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.

Operational Performance & Strategy

  • Own operational and financial performance across key fleet metrics including safety, reliability, asset availability, maintenance cost, labor productivity, shop throughput, preventive maintenance compliance, warranty recovery, and outside service utilization.
  • Partner with Finance to develop and deliver Fleet Annual Operating Plans (AOP), productivity initiatives, and financial commitments.
  • Partner with the Fleet COE organization to execute enterprise fleet strategy, operational programs, capability initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Drive field execution of enterprise asset lifecycle strategy, capital deployment, fleet utilization, and equipment replacement planning.
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify opportunities, improve operational performance, and deliver measurable business results.

Enterprise Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead field implementation, adoption, and long-term sustainment of the Fleet Maintenance System (FMS), ensuring successful organizational change across the field organization.
  • Partner with the Fleet COE team to implement enterprise programs focused on technician capability, maintenance best practices, parts optimization, warranty recovery, and fleet productivity.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Operations, Sales, Finance, Procurement, Corporate Fleet, Sustainability, and vendor partners to improve execution and business performance.
  • Continuously benchmark industry best practices and identify opportunities to modernize fleet operations and prepare the organization for future fleet capabilities.


Total Rewards:

  • $155,500-$180,000 / year
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience within the fleet industry, including responsibility for fleet maintenance operations, multi-site field organizations, asset management, and shop performance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading geographically dispersed fleet maintenance operations is required.
  • Transportation, Distribution, or Supply Chain leadership experience is preferred; however, extensive Fleet leadership experience is required.
  • Proven experience leading managers and developing high-performing field organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience delivering productivity initiatives, managing operating budgets, and driving results.
  • Experience leading large-scale operational transformations and organizational change.
  • Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to influence leaders across multiple functions.
