Job Description

• To ensure compliance where appropriate with the Company's procedures and policies in compliance with ISO 45001:2018, 14001:2015 9001:2015, ISM & MLC & ISPS, International industry & local legal requirements.
• Strictly follow company SMS & BMS Requirements
• Support Service Centre & fleet vessels to ensure compliance.
• Monitor business ethics and ensure all deviations reported to management.
• Actively participate and support company HSE programs, such as SOC, reporting of hazardous acts and conditions.
• Maintain confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Ensure that the permit to work and energy isolation procedures are strictly adhered to at all times Ensure that all mandatory procedures including Safe Systems of Work are used effectively and filed for audit purposes
• To support any other duties, as per management request.
Technical Support
• Participate in the effective management of the Company Maintenance Management System and ensure records are maintained in a timely manner
• Conversant with the Programmable Logic Computer (PLC) system and networking drive control systems
• Communicate equipment problems or breakdown information with OEM
• Ensure all repair, calibrations and modifications to electronic systems and components are carried out in accordance with company policy’s
• Strictly follow company SMS & BMS Requirements
• Ensure electronic and instrument inventory is maintained to facilitate safe and efficient operation of the fleet
• Rebuild and repair printed circuit boards
• Read and work from electronic blueprint drawings
• Assist the electrical department with resolving electrical problems as required
• Ensure that approved company operating procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Report all unsafe activities, situations, and potential hazards to supervisor
• Actively participate in weekly and departmental safety meetings
• Actively participate in the Safety Management Systems
• Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed by the Company (4-point check, OBS cards, PTW etc.)
• Coaching, develop and training fleet ETOs
• Complete training requirements in a timely manner as per training matrix to assist with all electrical / electronic and associated mechanical work as directed by Technical Superintendent
• To work to schedule, provide drawings and reports relating to any task carried out as required by BUE Caspian Ltd.
• To liaise with contract personnel on any relevant work in which outside contractors are involved
• Ensure that all installations, repair, calibrations and modifications to the electronic systems and components are carried out in accordance with company policies and regulatory laws
• Maintain and repair all electronic and instrumentation systems onboard
• Carry out installation, calibration and modification to electronic, instrumentation systems and components
• Maintain up to date backups, images and computers. Preserve control system software and ensure software is stored in a secure location
• Liaising with Vessel Chief Engineers, under guidance of technical Superintendents, as required and providing technical advice and assistance when necessary.
• Ensure all assigned vessels are well maintained and in a continued excellent technical condition as per the Company’s requirements.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and that the planned maintenance system is relevant and up to date on all assigned vessels, to avoid unplanned downtime.
• Assist with monitoring of current technical performance of fleet vessels and assist as required for any areas of improvement.
• Ensure all manufacturers’ representatives advises, inspection & survey reports recommendations actioned in timely manner.
• Monitor all designated vessels open defects and assist with rectification and reporting.
• Ensure any defects, certification or any other PSC detainable technical conditions addressed in timely manner
• Undertaking visits offshore to vessels on alongside and offshore location as required by Technical Superintendent.
