Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Schedule and coordinate regular inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
· Manage routine services including preventive maintenance (PMs), tire rotations, annual inspections, campaigns, recalls, and warranty opportunities.
· Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase fleet availability.
· Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
· Collaborate with regional managers, drivers, and other stakeholders to address maintenance concerns and deliver timely solutions.
· Source and procure parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
· Oversee external service providers and vendors, leveraging national accounts to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of work.
· Promote and enforce safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety within the fleet maintenance team.
· Provide regional support and coverage as needed, ensuring continuity of fleet operations.
· Lead or participate in special projects as assigned.
· Be available to assist with after-hours breakdowns as needed.
· Attend quarterly driver meetings to support communication and alignment.
· Maintain a consistent presence in the office to support operations and team collaboration.

Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical certifications or vocational training in vehicle repair (preferred)
· 5+ years of experience in maintenance operations
· Willingness to travel as needed

Desired Skills & Experience
· Proven experience in fleet maintenance, repair, or a related field
· Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
· Experience with OEM warranty recovery and national account programs
· Familiarity with preventive maintenance scheduling and execution
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and record-keeping capabilities
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
· Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and work outside regular hours when necessary
· Preferred: Knowledge of UFP’s organizational structure, culture, and product lines
