Finnair Technical Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes. 

We are now looking for a

FLEET ENGINEER, MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

to be responsible for independently completing assigned duties in Engineering, maintaining and developing maintenance programs for assigned fleets, resolving problem cases, monitoring manufacturer/community information and monitoring airworthiness data to keep aircraft in compliance with the requirements. The responsibility area in this role is Maintenance Program.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance program processes in the maintenance information system AMOS.

  • Maintains, updates and develops maintenance programs for assigned fleets.

  • Analyses the impact of fleet aging on maintenance programs (Aging Aircraft Program).

  • Proposes and creates maintenance requirements and instructions in AMOS

  • Basic engineering role responsibilities including of independently completing assigned duties in Engineering, monitoring Finnair fleet system performance and reliability, resolving problem cases, monitoring manufacturer/community information to improve aircraft/engine reliability and monitoring airworthiness data to keep aircraft in compliance with the requirements. Each engineer is responsible for an assigned aircraft system or sub-system.

Our expectations:

  • Fluent written and spoken Finnish.

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in aircraft maintenance.

  • Good team working and communication skills.

  • Adequate technical skills for the purpose of writing maintenance instructions based on approved data.

  • Profound knowledge of aircraft maintenance philosophy, principles, and technical skills on the area of technical expertise including understanding of the continuous airworthiness requirements.

  • Engineering insight and judgement to facilitate making rational engineering decisions.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach to work.

  • Good command of English for the purpose of spoken communication with vendors/OEMs/other airlines and writing formal and accurate service requests to OEMs.

  • Applicable technical education at B.Sc. or M.Sc. level or equivalent work experience in aircraft maintenance duties.
