Finnair Technical Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.

We are now looking for two

FLEET ENGINEERS

tojoinourEngineering department, with one position focused on avionics systems and the other on mechanical systems. In these roles, you will support fleet engineering activities, including the introduction of newaircrafttypes, while ensuring the continued airworthiness, reliability, and performance of the existing fleet.

In this role, you will:

  • Support fleet engineering activities, including the introduction of newaircrafttypes and the continued development of the existing fleet.

  • Ensure the continued airworthiness, reliability, and performance of assignedaircraftsystems and fleet types.

  • Manage continuous airworthiness activities, including the evaluation and implementation of Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs).

  • Monitor system reliability,analysetechnical performance, andidentifyopportunities for operational and maintenance improvements.

  • Drive corrective and improvement actions in collaboration with OEMs, maintenance providers, and other key partners.

  • Contribute to the optimization of maintenance programs, engineering standards, andaircraftmodification strategies.

  • Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance operations and troubleshooting activities.

  • Act as a key interface between engineering, operations, manufacturers, and external stakeholders.

  • Analysetechnical and reliability data, perform root cause investigations, and implement effective corrective actions.

  • Participate in fleet-related projects and continuously develop engineering processes, practices, and ways of working.

From you, we wish

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in relevant technical / industry background.

  • Applicable technical education at B.Sc. or M.Sc. Level.

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken. Fluency in Finnish is considered an advantage.

  • Adequate technical skills for the purpose of writing maintenance instructions based on approved data.

  • Good management skills.

  • Basicknowledge ofaircraftmaintenance philosophy and principles

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical and reliability data and drive effective solutions.

  • Sound engineeringinsight&judgement and a proactive approach to decision-making in a complex operational environment.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

  • Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills in a technical and regulated environment.

  • Ability to balance safety, compliance, reliability, and operational requirements in engineering activities.

  • Commitment to supporting safe, compliant, and reliableaircraftoperations through high-quality engineering practices.
