The Fleet Automotive Technician is responsible for performing complex maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on light and medium-duty automobiles and trucks. Primary duties typically include diagnosing and repairing engine problems, testing vehicles for proper operation, and estimating the time and cost associated with repairs. Performs all preventative maintenance services and other duties associated with the repair of light and medium-duty vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance service on a variety of light-duty vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, repair, rebuild brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems and components, computerized engine and transmission controls, drive trains, gas and diesel engines, cooling systems, air conditioning, suspension and steering components.
Repair and replace tires for light and medium-duty vehicles and equipment.
Consult with supervisors on vehicle problems, diagnostic issues, and performance.
Install accessories as required for each vehicle.
Tests vehicles and equipment for proper operation by operating/driving and using test equipment.
Maintain accurate daily work records on tasks completed, materials used, and time spent. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience as an automotive technician.
A valid Arizona Driver’s License is required upon hire.
Must possess an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification within six (6) months of hire.
