Job Description

Congratulations to Sarmad Awan on his promotion to Branch Manager at 1528 - Belmont Cragin. As a result,15NN has an opportunity for a Flagship Assistant Manager at our Chicago Lincoln Park location, 1510. The expected—but not guaranteed--total target compensation, for this position is $69,000 annually based on a 47-hour workweek, at an hourly rate of $22.57/hour, plus overtime. Employees in this position will earn additional incentive compensation based on the performance of the business through a profit-based bonus plan.

Responsibilities

Management of Customer Service and Operations

  • Manage the efforts of Branch employees in providing a high level of customer service, including management of the rental counter, customer flow, and telephone service, as well as training by example
  • Develop and maintain Branch operational plan
  • Use initiative, independent judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills to perform a variety of duties and solve problems. Some examples include: approving rate deviations, approving extensions of rental tickets without deposits or where customer is delinquent, determining when to retrieve cars if customers are overdue, approving rentals for drivers under 25 and over 70 years of age, approving cash deposit rentals and unusual credit card and rental requests, and approving write-offs
  • Manage overall branch operations in absence of and/or request of the Branch Manager

Human Resource Management

  • Supervise, mentor, train, coach, evaluate and develop staff
  • Provide continual feedback regarding employee performance; meet with personnel to monitor sales goals and overall performance
  • Prepare effective and timely employee reviews and participate in the review process
  • Administer and/or recommend disciplinary action, promotions, transfers and/or other personnel actions

Sales and Marketing/Financial Performance

  • Develop, plan and actively participate in branch sales and marketing efforts to increase and improve business
  • Train, motivate and coach employees to increase branch sales by understanding, communicating, and using the 4-step sales process to promote and sell optional protection products, vehicle features and benefits, fuel options and additional equipment
  • Manage branch receivables, including negotiating payment plans, collecting difficult accounts receivables, preparing write-offs for uncollectible accounts, and recommending accounts for referral to collection
  • Supervise and train other employees regarding branch receivables

Fleet Management and Maintenance

  • Evaluate fleet mix and utilization
  • Manage fleet for rentals
  • Ensure adherence to deletion policy
  • Ensure completion of daily unit reconciliation
  • Manage vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventative maintenance, manufacturers' recalls, breakdowns and accident damage

Qualifications

We are seeking qualified Assistant Managers/Station Managers with a proven track record. At a minimum, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Current Group 15 Assistant Branch/Staion Manager
  • 3, 6 or 12 month (depending on length of service at branch) must be statistically at or above either Corporate Airport TSQI or Corporate All TSQI Average, provided they have worked at their branch during that length of time).
  • At least “meets requirements” on most recent review and have no significant pending or written disciplinary action over last 90 days
  • Area Manager recommendation
