In this role, you will work with a team of talented, operators overseeing the day-to-day operations of plant and field, preparing equipment for maintenance, troubleshooting, and working with the control room for plant optimization and maximizing plant efficiencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Three (3) years of experience in plant operations; experience in heavy oil processing, ore preparation, rotary wet screen operation, hydrotransplant, separation cells, flotation columns & sour gas processing experience would be an asset.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Key Accountabilities:

  • Follow all operating processes and procedures during operations to ensure the safety of our people, equipment, and the environment.

  • Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings in a timely manner

  • Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs

  • Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commissioning

Location & other key details

  • You will work out of our Fort Hills Plant in Fort McMurray, Alberta

  • The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation (12-hour shifts including night/day rotating shift work)

  • You will be on a Fly-In-Fly-Out Rotation from one of the approved hubs of Edmonton or Calgary or a Bus-In-Bus-Out of Fort McMurray.
