Fixed Assets Team Lead (GL)
Job Purpose
The General Ledger stream operates through four interlinked teams: Treasury & Banking, Netting & Intercompany, General Accounting & Reporting, and Fixed Assets.
We are looking for a hands-on, high-impact leader to drive the Fixed Assets function within our SSC.
This role goes beyond operations — combining:
technical accounting expertise, process transformation & automation, and people leadership.
You will play a critical role in ensuring balance sheet integrity, driving standardization across entities and leading continuous improvement initiatives

Your Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end month-end close for Fixed Assets across multiple entities
Oversee the full asset lifecycle (additions, disposals, transfers, impairments)
Manage monthly depreciation runs and Assets Under Construction (AUC)
Ensure proper accounting under IFRS (incl. IFRS 16 – leases)
Lead automation and standardization initiatives within R2R
Drive process improvements and root cause analysis on recurring issues
Promote data integrity, efficiency, and scalability across 65+ entities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6–8 accountants
Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning
Support recruitment, onboarding, and talent development
Drive performance management and team upskilling
Partner with local finance teams and SSC stakeholders
Ensure strong alignment across GL, Intercompany, and Treasury teams
Monitor and report KPIs to ensure service excellence
Qualifications:
Must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
7+ years experience in Accounting (min. 4 in GL / R2R)
Strong experience in:
Month-end close
Balance sheet reconciliations
Financial reporting
Solid knowledge of IFRS & internal controls
Experience in SSC / multinational environment
Hands-on experience with SAP
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, validations, complex formulas)
Proven people leadership experience
Strong communication skills (English C1/C2)
Proactive & solution-oriented
Control-driven with strong accountability
Able to anticipate issues and act early
Comfortable driving change and transformation
Nice to have
Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing
Professional qualification: ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIA
