Job Description: An international construction group with active projects in Jordan is looking for a Fixed Asset Accountant to maintain complete and accurate fixed asset records and prepare the monthly accounts of assigned companies. Maintain the fixed asset register from acquisition to disposal Verify purchase invoices, approvals and delivery records before recording additions, and distinguish capital expenditure from operating expenses Prepare monthly depreciation entries and reconcile the asset register to the general ledger Record approved transfers, disposals and write-offs and calculate the resulting gain or loss Coordinate asset tagging and periodic physical verification with the responsible teams Prepare monthly customer and intercompany invoices from approved contracts, rates and supporting records Complete month-end entries and prepare monthly profit and loss statements, financial position and supporting schedules Complete bank reconciliations and prepare receivable and payable aging reports Reconcile intercompany balances and material balance sheet accounts Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, including fixed assets Strong knowledge of capitalization, depreciation and IFRS Experience preparing monthly accounts, bank reconciliations and intercompany balances Experience with customer invoicing and receivable aging Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel Professional certification (CPA, ACCA or CMA) and construction/contracting experience are an advantage
