Job Description

• Assemble, install, align, and fit mechanical components, pipes, structures, and equipment as per drawings and specifications.
• Perform fabrication, cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting activities on construction and industrial projects.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical sketches, and work instructions.
• Carry out maintenance, repair, and replacement of mechanical parts and equipment.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and positioning of components during installation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
• Follow company health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
• Report equipment defects, material shortages, and technical issues to supervisors.
• Coordinate with welders, fabricators, mechanics, and other trades to complete work efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School certificate, ITI, Trade Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Fitting trade.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Fitter in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or oil & gas projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication details.
• Experience with mechanical installation, fabrication, and maintenance works.
• Familiarity with tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
• Good knowledge of safety procedures and site practices.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding site conditions.
