About us | He kupu mō mātou
Based in the heart of the Waikato our Morrinsville plant manufactures a range of milk powders and butter products that are exported to more than 35 markets around the world. During peak milking season, our Morrinsville site processes up to 1.1 million litres of milk every day.
About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our high performing Maintenance Team at our Morrinsville-Wahahroa sites.
With a focus on Health and Safety and maintenance best practice, you'll use your sound mechanical experience to navigate changing work priorities as well as implement scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure our site performs at its peak each day.
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you'll be responsible for mechanical maintenance services across our manufacturing lines and utilities equipment, providing support by maintaining all machinery in alignment with our asset care plans and strategies. You'll also use your problem-solving and diagnostic skills to effectively fault find and repair breakdowns with confidence as the need arises.
This is a Monday to Friday day work role with an afterhours and weekend on-call roster requirement.
About You | Mōu
We are looking for an experienced, capable, proactive and motivated mechanical fitter who is committed to continuous improvement and achieving excellence in everything they do.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- An AS/NZS Mechanical Engineering Trade Certificate (Level 4 or higher).
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with hands on mechanical fitter experience.
- Exceptional fault finding, diagnostics, and problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work as a team and independently.
- Tech savvy and computer literacy skills, ideally with knowledge of a CMMS such as SAP as well as automation and condition monitoring tools.
- Previous experience within an FMCG/food manufacturing or similar environment would be beneficial.
- Stainless steel TIG welding and Manual Machining knowledge and experience is a bonus.
