At TELUS Health, we're passionate about helping people achieve better health and wellbeing. We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Part-time Fitness & Wellness Consultant to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario.
About the Role
As the Part-time Fitness & Wellness Consultant, you'll be the face of our corporate fitness centre, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where members feel supported in reaching their health and wellness goals. You'll inspire participation through engaging fitness programs, group exercise classes, and wellness initiatives while ensuring the fitness centre remains a safe, professional, and enjoyable place for members
What You'll Do
Member Experience
Create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for all fitness centre members
Supervise the corporate fitness facility during scheduled operating hours
Build positive relationships with members while providing guidance on the safe and effective use of fitness equipment
Facilitate the completion of health screening questionnaires (GAQs) and participant waivers
Fitness & Wellness Programming
Design and deliver individualized fitness programs tailored to members' goals and abilities
Plan, instruct, and coordinate a variety of group fitness classes while encouraging participation
Organize recreational programming, including organizing leagues, tournaments, and other wellness initiatives
Promote fitness and wellness programs through onsite engagement and social media
Facility Operations
Support the day-to-day operation of the fitness centre to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Assist with equipment maintenance by identifying repair needs and recommending new or replacement equipment
Monitor participation trends and prepare monthly and quarterly usage reports
Contribute ideas that enhance the overall member experience and support continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness, Health Promotion, or a related field
Current Personal Training certification
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
Preferred Qualifications
Group Fitness certification
Experience working in a corporate fitness or wellness environment
