📢 We’re Hiring: Fitness Supervisor

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Fitness expert to join our team at one of our sites within Adelaide on our ISS Defence contract.

The Position

A FITNESS SUPERVISOR who will assist and manage the onsite operations, performance and successful delivery of the Fitness Centre Services. Drive and monitor a culture of Health, Safety and Wellbeing in the workplace.

• Primary supervision of patrons at the facility in accordance with Defence and legislative procedures.
• Supervision training and coordination (including rostering) of employees within their respective work areas to ensure the delivery of service.
• Experience in the operation, activities and basic maintenance of all facilities equipment used in the delivery of Fitness Centre services.
• Supervision of Fitness Centre front desk and facilities including customer liaison to ensure the safety of all users.
• Undertake lifesaving/rescue activities as required.
• Manage Facilities Centre incidents and coordinate with other Agencies until relieved by an Incident Controller.
• Strong understanding of contractual obligations and expectations of the ISS / Defence agreements, policies and procedures.

🎯 What We’re Looking for:

• Minimum 2 years in a similar role as a Fitness Centre Supervisor, Senior Pool Lifeguard, gym instructor or equivalent including cardiovascular equipment operation and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Supervisory skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement across a team.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of the role, environment and emergency protocols.
• Physically fit with the ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical requirements, including blood tests and drug and alcohol assessments.

Mandatory Requirements

• Australian Citizenship
• Provide a Clear Police check not older than 60 days.
• Ability to obtain a pre-employment medical clearance (including Drug & Alcohol testing)
• Relevant qualifications are essential
• Defence or military experience – highly desirable
• Open to obtaining a defence clearance through our process.
