About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fitness Instructor - J Club to join Jumeirah Beach Hotel

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:  

  • Actively participate in and oversee the provision of excellent service, making every guest feel welcomed and at ease, and handling customer complaints efficiently while maintaining positive guest relations.

  • Promote fitness activities, spa treatments, and facilities to guests, actively participate in promotional activities, and serve as a catalyst for Sales and Marketing efforts to enhance guest bookings and experiences.

  • Deliver exercise classes and workshops, provide spa consultations, recommend appropriate wellness activities and treatments based on guest conditions, and stay updated on the latest fitness and wellness trends.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the guest gym, fitness equipment, sauna rooms, shower rooms, and storage rooms, and report maintenance issues immediately to the Engineering Team.

  • Adhere to and promote health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintain confidentiality of guest information, and handle inappropriate guest behavior as per hotel standards.

  • Develop positive working relationships with colleagues, provide training on processes and customer service methods, support the reception team, and assist colleagues during busy periods.

  • Maintain fitness equipment in great working condition, ensure gym set up according to standard procedures, and manage stock levels for fresh towels and refreshments.

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of guest activities and facilities used, regularly verify guest history, and profile records, and inform the Spa Manager of any unusual guest behavior or medical conditions.

  • Maximize sales opportunities to achieve set targets for private fitness sessions, actively review fitness menus and pricing, and reach sales targets by promoting personalized exercises and treatments.

  • Report for duty punctually in the correct uniform, follow hotel employee rules and regulations, participate in all required training, and perform professional services with attention to detail according to LQA and Jumeirah standards.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Fitness, Spa & Wellness centers

  • Recognized qualification in Fitness and Wellbeing

  • First Aid Training Certification

  • Advanced Software competencies - Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in English
