Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fit-Out Estimator with experience in mall interior design projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders for interior fit-out works across retail units, food courts, common areas, and entertainment zones within shopping malls. The role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to interpret design documentation to forecast project costs.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs based on design drawings and specifications for mall interior design projects.
• Evaluate architectural, MEP, and ID drawings to quantify materials, labor, and equipment required for fit-out works.
• Coordinate with designers, consultants, and mall authorities to ensure estimates comply with mall fit-out guidelines and technical requirements.
• Obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, with a focus on high-end retail finishes, glass partitions, signage, joinery, and lighting.
• Ensure cost plans reflect all functional and aesthetic design elements, including feature ceilings, custom furniture, flooring, wall treatments, and service integration.
• Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and supplier relationships relevant to mall interior finishes and materials.
• Participate in tender submissions, including cost breakdowns, clarifications, and post-bid negotiations with mall developers or management.
• Analyze and evaluate variations or design changes during project execution and prepare revised estimates accordingly.
• Work closely with the project management team to ensure cost control is maintained throughout project delivery.
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-tender or post-award meetings as necessary.
