Position: Fishing Assistant

Position Overview:
The Fishing Assistant will work closely with the Fishing Crew to assist in all aspects of fishing operations. This includes preparing and maintaining fishing equipment, baiting hooks, setting and retrieving fishing lines, and cleaning and storing catches. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fishing and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work long hours and in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Fishing Crew in preparing and maintaining fishing equipment, including rods, reels, lines, and bait
- Bait hooks and set and retrieve fishing lines
- Assist in cleaning and storing catches, ensuring proper handling and storage techniques are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the fishing boat
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while on the boat and handling equipment
- Communicate effectively with the Fishing Crew and other team members to ensure efficient and safe operations
- Assist in other tasks as needed, such as boat maintenance and repair, to support the overall fishing operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in fishing or a related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of fishing techniques and equipment
- Physically fit and able to work long hours and in various weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a boat is a plus
Contract Details:
This is a full-time position with a 1-year contract. The working hours may vary and may include weekends and holidays, depending on fishing schedules. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.
Location:
This position is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Fishing Assistant will be required to travel to various fishing locations within the region.
