As the fiscal leader for the parking division, you will play a key role in keeping our city moving. This position is responsible for developing and monitoring budgets, forecasting financial trends, preparing detailed financial reports, and managing division contracts. You will supervise one staff member, advise leadership on financial impacts, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and help optimize resource allocation.

  • Coordinates budget management for assigned areas of responsibility; processing budget transfers and amendments, creating budget spreadsheets, and providing usage and needs analysis for management and unit supervisors
  • Performs analysis, reviews and/or audits of financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations and requirements. Provides summary reporting and prepares recommendations based on findings
  • Responds to inquiries regarding finance/procurement processes. Provides information and analysis of departmental budget and spending, as requested by internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitors and administers fiscal accounting procedures, processes, transactions and/or system interfaces. Identifies discrepancies, variances and financial irregularities; performs reconciliations; analyzes issues, and recommends and coordinates problem resolution with staff, vendors and/or other operational stakeholders
  • Oversees all division contracts, including drafting new agreements, tracking existing contracts, and managing overall contract administration

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field; 3 to 5 years' experience in financial analysis, budgeting, data analysis, or a related field

OR

Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted
