PermanentFinning Lethbridge is currently looking for a new member of our team interested in a career in Heavy Duty Mechanics. Want to get your hands on some CAT equipment? This job is for you!

Location: Lethbridge, AB
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Basic Functions:

  • Repair machines and perform a variety of service oriented functions
  • Supporting Journeypersons with Troubleshooting, and assisting in repairs.
  • Performing preventative maintenance including checking fluid levels, lubricating equipment, performing oil changes and servicing filters
  • Maintaining, cleaning and organizing the shop area, tools, and equipment
  • Completing service reports and computer entry.

Qualifications:

  • Willing to work towards Heavy Equipment Technician Certification.
  • Successfully meet Finning’s educational and testing prerequisites. This includes:
  • Completion of grade 12 (not including a general equivalent diploma)
  • Meet the requirements of article 5.02 of the Alberta Collective Agreement
  • Highly motivated and mechanically inclined
  • Strong assets will include:
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Previous Caterpillar experience and basic computer skills

Notes:

  • A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
