Heritage Christian Academy, a growing K-12 Christian school in the Kansas City metro area, is seeking qualified candidates for an elementary position. Heritage provides a Christ-centered education with academic excellence within a caring Christian community on two campuses in South Johnson County.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong classroom management abilities

• Proficiency with basic educational technology
• Compassion and patience, inspired by Christian love and empathy for kindergarten students

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver lessons clearly and effectively
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and positive learning environment
• Accurately record attendance and complete required daily documentation
• Communicate proactively and collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and staff as needed
• Participate in required professional development or training sessions as provided
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by school administration

Requirements

The candidate should reflect the following characteristics:

• A strong Christian testimony with a mature and godly character
• Exemplary Christian virtue both in and outside of school
• Commitment to regular church attendance in alignment with the Statement of Faith
• Education: BA/BS in Education
• Current ACSI certification or the ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe
