About the team

We are currently looking for the skilled Engineer who wants to have an impact with his/her work and join our ZF Aftermarket digital products team in our existing office in Plzen. The team is working to deliver our ZF Bus Connect product ( ZF Bus Connect - ZF) and is focused on extending the value of this connected vehicle solution through a deeply collaborative effort between product, UX, data and engineering members. The team is leveraging the company’s existing knowledge and access to data of multiple thousands of buses to increase efficiency and convenience in managing the uptime of such vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to have an early and significant impact on shaping both, the new engineering organization and product while having the security of being part of one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers.

Firmware Linux Expert

What can you look forward to as Firmware Linux Expert:

• Design and develop robust, high-quality and sustainable code for ZF Bus Connect. Continuously improve in developing, maintaining & enhancing firmware
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies as required
• Follow agile development methodologies & lean principles to collaborate, deliver and report during execution.
• Maintain support infrastructure like build instances, remote firmware upgrade servers and remote access machines.
• Participate in code reviews, component testing and documentation.

Your profile as Firmware Linux Expert:

• 4+ years of proven experience in similar role working in software development
• Good knowledge of C++ 11+ on the Linux platform
• Good understanding of the modern Linux user-space
• Experience in Linux based OS administration
• Good experience with Bash and Python
• Knowledge of basic automotive technologies (CAN, UDS, DM1) and/or radio technologies like LTE, WiFi, Lora, BT LE, or GNSS is a bonus
• Very good English language skills, other languages are a bonus
