As a Kitchen Team Member at fireside MARKET, you will have the opportunity to work with a positive team focused on providing a place to grow and develop. Team Members will provide exceptional service and ensure that guest expectations are met. As a Kitchen Team Member, you are the face of the restaurant. You’re responsible for creating a welcoming, energetic and memorable guest experience from the moment guests walk through the door to the moment they leave. Whether you’re greeting guests, running food, taking orders, or keeping the dining area spotless, your goal is to make every guest feel like a VIP!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides and supports excellent guest service
  • Greeting all guests warmly and promptly
  • Take and process orders accurately and efficiently
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and friendly manner
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and other team members to ensure smooth service
  • Handle guests’ inquiries, concerns and feedback with a positive and solution-driven attitude
  • Maintains proper personal hygiene and a well-groomed uniform appearance
  • Follows company safety standards and attendance policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support teammates and contribute to a fun, high-energy environment
  • Other Duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • Preferred 6 months of cashier experience in a QSR setting
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to operate equipment
  • Reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Maintains a sense of urgency while working
  • Flexibility regarding working shifts and extended hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to pass a background check (17+)

  • Required to stand, walk, climb, lift, and balance.

Working Conditions

Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which requires basic safety precautions. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. This will be in a fast-paced environment. The noise level is usually moderate.

It must be said that the arrival of Indian Gaming and forward thinking were the main catalysts in creating those ‘family-sustaining wages and above average benefit packages’ that now exist and that allow young people to return. This was not always the case.
