<h2>Job Title: Fireman</h2>

Department: Fire & Safety / Security Operations Location: Client Premises (Pan-India deployment) Reporting To: Fire & Safety Officer / Site In-charge / Security Manager

<h3>Objective of the Role:</h3>

To ensure immediate and effective response to fire and emergency situations at the client premises, assist in the prevention of fire hazards, and support the client’s overall safety and security operations through regular inspections, drills, and fire safety compliance.

<hr>

<h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3>

1. Fire Prevention and Risk Mitigation

<ul>

<li>Conduct routine fire safety inspections across the premises, especially high-risk areas.  </li>

<li>Identify and report fire hazards, unsafe practices, and recommend corrective actions.  </li>

<li>Ensure proper storage and usage of flammable materials as per safety guidelines.  </li>

<li>Check availability, functionality, and accessibility of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hoses, sprinklers, alarms, smoke detectors, and emergency lights.  </li>

2. Fire Response and Emergency Handling

<ul>

<li>Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency calls.  </li>

<li>Operate firefighting equipment such as fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, foam, and breathing apparatus.  </li>

<li>Evacuate personnel from affected areas and guide them to safe assembly zones.  </li>

<li>Administer first-aid and support paramedical teams during emergencies.  </li>

<li>Assist the firefighting team, civil authorities, and local fire brigade in containment and post-incident recovery.  </li>

</ul>

3. Compliance and Documentation

<ul>

<li>Maintain detailed incident logs and fire safety inspection records.  </li>

<li>Assist in ensuring compliance with local Fire Safety Norms, NBC (National Building Code), and client-specific fire regulations.  </li>

<li>Support internal audits and third-party fire inspections.  </li>

</ul>

4. Training & Drills

<ul>

<li>Conduct or participate in fire drills, evacuation exercises, and mock emergency simulations.  </li>

<li>Educate on-site personnel on fire safety protocols and emergency procedures.  </li>

<li>Provide demonstrations on the usage of fire safety equipment.  </li>

</ul>

5. Maintenance & Housekeeping

<ul>

<li>Inspect fire equipment daily and maintain logs for servicing schedules.  </li>

<li>Ensure that escape routes, fire exits, and emergency doors are not blocked.  </li>

<li>Liaise with facility teams for maintenance of fire panels, sprinklers, pumps, and water tanks.  </li>

</ul>

<h3>Qualifications & Experience:</h3>

<ul>

<li>Education: Minimum 10th Pass. Diploma or Certificate in Fire Safety or Industrial Firefighting from a recognized institute is mandatory.  </li>

<li>Preferred Certifications:

<ul>

<li>Fireman Training from State Fire Services / Civil Defence / Government-recognized institutes  </li>

<li>Basic First Aid and CPR Certification  </li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Experience: 2–5 years in industrial, commercial, or institutional firefighting roles. Freshers with formal fireman training can also be considered.  </li>

</ul>

<h3>Skills & Competencies Required:</h3>

<ul>

<li>Thorough knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems.  </li>

<li>Ability to work calmly under pressure and respond quickly in emergencies.  </li>

<li>Physically fit, alert, and able to carry firefighting equipment.  </li>

<li>Clear communication skills and basic understanding of Hindi/English/regional language.  </li>

<li>Team player with a disciplined and responsible attitude.  </li>

</ul>

<h3>Work Environment & Physical Requirements:</h3>

<ul>

<li>Rotational shifts (day/night) including weekends and holidays.  </li>

<li>High-risk environment requiring PPE usage.  </li>

<li>Need to remain alert and mobile throughout the shift.  </li>

<li>May require climbing, lifting, and operating in confined or high areas during fire events.  </li>

</ul>
