MFES is a team of dedicated professionals who provide a vast array of emergency and non-emergency services to the residents, businesses and visitors to the City of Mississauga. MFES is an all-hazards fire department that responds to all types of emergencies including high risk, water/ice rescue, confined space, and hazardous materials, to name a few. There is also the opportunity to meet the community to help with public education events and provide our fire and life safety messaging. Our mission is to protect life, property, and the environment in Mississauga from all risks through education, enforcement, engineering and emergency response.
MFES has more than 800 staff working across four sections, serving the community around the clock, to make this City a safe place. A non-refundable administration fee of $150+tax is required for ALL external candidates applying to the Firefighter position. Payment is required prior to application submission.
