The Opportunity
As a Fire Safety Subject Matter Expert (SME), you'll play a vital role in preparing Hinkley Point C for safe and successful operations. Working within the Commissioning and Operations programme, you'll help establish fire safety management arrangements, governance, and operational readiness activities that support one of the UK's most significant energy projects and EDF's journey towards An Electric Britain
You'll join us on a salary starting of £67,000 per annum. This is an onsite role based at #HinkleyPointC, #Bridgwater, where you'll work closely with operational, engineering, and regulatory stakeholders to support startup readiness and long-term compliance.
This is an opportunity to influence how fire safety is embedded across a new nuclear power station. From supporting WANO readiness activities and fire prevention programmes to developing operational documentation, fire protection arrangements, and emergency response planning, your expertise will help shape the future operation of the station.
Who You Are
We're looking for an experienced Fire Safety SME who enjoys providing specialist guidance, collaborating across teams, and improving fire safety performance within complex industrial or high-hazard environments. Are you experienced in...?
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
