Fire Portable Technician
Location: Knoxfield, Victoria

T he Role

Due to our continuous growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Fire Portable Technician. This role suits an individual who is enthusiastic about contributing to the success of our business. You'll join our service team to support our increasing client base to ensure we are able to provide outstanding customer service. This role will be a key role in the inspection and maintenance of portable fire equipment and essential safety measures, working under guidance of the Melbourne Service Manager, with responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Conduct routine inspection and testing of fire extinguishers & fire blankets

  • Conduct fire hose reel and hydrant inspections (where qualified)

  • Carry out fire door checks (training provided)

About You

The successful applicant will need to have a current Victorian drivers license and demonstrate an excellent understating of, or willingness to learn about, various types of systems such as fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and hydrants across commercial, industrial and residential properties. Successful applicant will be provided with:

  • Your Education, Experience and Skills

  • Experience in fire protection or a related trade (preferred but not essential)

  • A basic understanding of AS1851 or willingness to learn

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Successful applicant required to undertake Police & Working with children check

  • Current drivers license


To excel in this role, the selected candidate will need to have:

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation

  • Strong operational and safety skills.

  • Effective communicator at all levels.

  • Prior experience in Fire Industry preferable but not essential
